- Start with a concrete moment (show, don’t tell).
- Reflect: what changed about you because of this?
- Use specifics: names, dates, brief numbers (“raised $1.2k”).
- Trim filler (“very”, “really”, “I think”). Aim for 650–700 words.
- Close by echoing your opening idea with a sharper insight.
Resume (1 page)
- Use strong verbs: led, built, launched, shipped, increased.
- Quantify impact: “Increased signups by 28%”.
- Keep bullets tight (one line if possible).
- Group by sections: Education, Experience, Projects, Skills.
- Use consistent formatting: dates, dashes, punctuation.
